Come join us for a quick preview brought to you by the Python wizards of Codecraft on how children can have fun using the Python programming language to build towers, castles, pet blocks, send fireballs, etc....in a zippy and at the same time learn programming and math.

Build A Smart Home Using Java and Raspberry Pi

Demonstration of a basic prototype of Smart Home system powered by Java application on Raspberry Pi, capable of detecting a stranger in the house and sending alert via email. User is also able to use an Android based smartphone to control appliances connected to Raspberry Pi.

Keep Intruders Away with Nerf gun controlled by Raspberry Pi (TBC)

Demonstration of an automatic firing Nerf gun controlled by Raspberry Pi based on motion detection to keep nosy colleagues away from your desk. This is still to-be-confirmed as the presenter needs a bit of time to clean away dust built-up on his gun now decommissioned post cold-war.
